Camp Water Container & Pump Compatibility Guide
Check your water container opening and pump base before choosing the right Jugfellow setup.
Two things need to fit
Jugfellow is designed to help compatible camp water containers work with standard round-base electric water pumps. Before ordering, please check two compatibility points:
- Your water container opening — the adapter must match the container thread type.
- Your electric pump base — the pump should be the common round-base style used for 5-gallon water bottles.
1. Water Container Compatibility
Jugfellow Universal Adapter is designed for three common outdoor water container opening types. If your container uses one of these supported thread types, it is likely compatible.
3/4" Male-Thread Outlet
For containers with an external 3/4" male-thread water outlet. Typical style: Scepter.
3/4" Female-Thread Opening
For containers with an internal 3/4" female-thread opening. Typical style: RELIANCE.
1.85–2.05" Male-Threaded Neck
For compatible wide-mouth camp water containers with male-threaded necks. Typical styles: Coleman and RotopaX.
2. How to check your container opening
Look at the threaded area
If the threaded part sticks out from the container, it is usually a male-thread outlet. If the thread is inside the opening, it is usually a female-thread opening.
Check the opening size
Some containers use standard camp water outlet sizes, while others use special caps or non-standard openings. If your container is not a common camp water jug style, please check carefully before ordering.

3. Pump Compatibility
The Jugfellow adapter is designed for standard round-base electric water pumps with a 55 mm / 2.16 in base. Most electric pumps made for 5-gallon water bottles use this common base size.
Your pump is likely compatible if:
- It is a common round-base electric pump for 5-gallon water bottles.
- The bottom base size is about 55 mm / 2.16 in.
- The base can sit securely inside the adapter’s top sealing sleeve.
- The intake hose can connect properly and draw water from the container.
Your pump may not fit if:
- It has an unusually wide, square, oval, or irregular bottom base.
- It uses a special locking structure instead of a standard round base.
- It is made for a proprietary bottle or dispenser system.
- The intake connection is not compatible with standard hose-style water pumps.
4. Do I have to use the Jugfellow pump?
No. If you already have a compatible standard round-base electric water pump, you can use the Jugfellow Universal Adapter with your own pump.
If you want a ready-to-use setup, choose the Dispenser Kit or Adaptive Kit, both of which include the Jugfellow rechargeable pump.
5. Which Jugfellow setup should I choose?
Universal Adapter
Choose this if your container fits and you already own a compatible round-base electric pump.
Dispenser Kit
Choose this if you want a simple push-button water dispenser for drinking, bottle filling, cooking, and quick camp use.
Adaptive Kit
Choose this if you want the complete system for both dispenser mode and flexible faucet mode. Best for washing, rinsing, cooking, cleanup, RV setups, vanlife, overlanding, and tailgating.
6. Important compatibility notes
Water containers are not included. Product photos may show containers only to demonstrate how the system works.
