Jugfellow Adaptive Kit FAQ | Camp Water Dispenser & Faucet
Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers about container compatibility, pump fit, dispenser mode, flexible faucet mode, and outdoor water access.
1. How do I know if my water container will fit?
Check the opening or outlet on your container. Jugfellow Universal Adapter is designed for three common outdoor water container opening types: 3/4" male-thread outlets, 3/4" female-thread openings, and 1.85–2.05" male-threaded necks.
If your container uses one of these supported opening types, it is likely compatible.
2. What if I do not know my container thread type?
The easiest way is to check the opening shape and thread direction. If the threaded part sticks out from the container, it is usually a male-thread outlet. If the thread is inside the opening, it is usually a female-thread opening.
If you are not sure, take a clear photo of your container opening and send it to us. We can help you check before ordering.
3. Can Jugfellow work with an Aqua-Tainer-style water container?
Yes, Jugfellow can work with compatible Aqua-Tainer-style containers that use a supported 3/4" female-thread opening.
The key requirement is matching the container opening to the correct Universal Adapter connection and using a compatible 55 mm round-base electric water pump.
4. Can Jugfellow work with a Scepter-style water can?
Yes, Jugfellow can work with compatible Scepter-style water cans that use a supported external 3/4" male-thread water outlet.
The Universal Adapter helps connect the container outlet to a compatible round-base rechargeable water pump, making the water can easier to use for camp dispensing or faucet setups.
5. Can Jugfellow work with a RotopaX-style water container?
Jugfellow can work with compatible RotopaX-style water containers that use a supported 1.85–2.05" male-threaded neck.
Because water container openings can vary by model, please check the neck size and thread style before ordering. If you are unsure, send us a clear photo of the opening.
6. Which container brands or styles does it typically work with?
The adapter is designed around common camp water container styles, including typical Scepter, RELIANCE, Coleman, and RotopaX-style openings.
Brand names are used only as compatibility references. Water containers are not included.
7. Does it fit every water container?
No. It is designed for compatible outdoor water containers with supported thread types. Some containers may use special caps, unusual openings, or non-standard threads.
Please check your container opening before ordering, especially if your container is not one of the common camp water jug styles.
8. Does Jugfellow work with a 5-gallon water jug?
Jugfellow can work with compatible 5-gallon water jugs and outdoor containers when the container opening matches one of the supported adapter connections.
A 5-gallon capacity alone does not guarantee compatibility. Always check the opening type, thread style, and pump base size before ordering.
9. How do I know if my electric pump will fit?
The adapter is designed for standard round-base electric water pumps with a 55 mm / 2.16 in base. Many electric pumps made for 5-gallon water bottles use this common base size.
If your pump is the common round-base style that sits on top of a 5-gallon water bottle, it will likely fit.
10. Do I have to use the Jugfellow pump?
No. If you already have a compatible round-base electric water pump, you can use the Universal Adapter with your own pump.
However, the Jugfellow pump is included in the Dispenser Kit and Adaptive Kit for customers who want a complete ready-to-use setup.
11. What is the difference between Universal Adapter, Dispenser Kit, and Adaptive Kit?
Universal Adapter is for customers who already have a compatible electric pump and only need the adapter.
Dispenser Kit includes the adapter, rechargeable pump, and weighted intake hose for simple push-button water dispensing.
Adaptive Kit is the complete setup. It supports both dispenser mode and flexible faucet mode, so you can use water at the container or move water away from the container for washing, rinsing, cooking, and cleanup.
12. Are water containers included?
No. Jugfellow kits are accessory systems. Water containers, camp jugs, and 5-gallon bottles are not included.
Product photos may show containers only to demonstrate how the system works.
13. Can Jugfellow replace a broken camp water jug spigot?
Jugfellow is not a direct replacement spigot. It is an adapter-and-pump system designed to give compatible camp water containers a new hands-free dispensing or flexible faucet option.
If your existing spigot leaks, breaks, or limits where you can access water, Jugfellow may provide a more flexible alternative when the container opening is compatible.
14. Can Jugfellow help if my camp water jug spigot leaks or is hard to use?
Yes. Jugfellow is not a direct replacement spigot, but it gives compatible containers an alternative water-access setup using an adapter, rechargeable pump, and optional flexible faucet hose.
This can be useful when the original spigot leaks, sits too low, is hard to use, or keeps water fixed at the container location.
15. Can I use it as a simple water dispenser?
Yes. With the adapter, pump, and weighted intake hose, it can turn a compatible outdoor water container into a hands-free dispenser for drinking water, bottle filling, cooking, and general camp use.
16. Can I use it as a faucet away from the container?
Yes. The full Adaptive Kit includes the long hose, Dust Stopper, and mounting base needed to create a flexible faucet setup.
This is useful for hand washing, rinsing dishes, cleaning gear, outdoor cooking, tailgating, and campsite cleanup.
17. Can I use Jugfellow for a camp handwashing or dish-rinsing station?
Yes. In flexible faucet mode, the water container can stay low and stable while the faucet is placed closer to a picnic table, camp kitchen, wash basin, or cleanup area.
This makes Jugfellow useful for handwashing, rinsing dishes, washing produce, filling a cooking pot, and building a more organized camp water station.
18. Can I keep the water container under a camp table or vehicle while using the faucet?
Yes. In flexible faucet mode, the Adaptive Kit is designed to let you keep the water container low and stable while moving the faucet closer to where water is needed.
This can make camp kitchens, picnic tables, outdoor washing areas, RV setups, and tailgates more convenient without repeatedly lifting or tilting a heavy water container.
19. Does the pump have to sit directly on top of the container?
In dispenser mode, the pump sits on top of the Universal Adapter. In flexible faucet mode, the hose system allows water to be moved away from the container while the container remains in a stable position.
The best setup depends on whether you need simple push-button dispensing at the container or a more flexible faucet location for washing and cleanup.
20. Why do I need the Dust Stopper for faucet mode?
The Dust Stopper is not just a dust cover. In flexible faucet mode, it helps seal the container opening and creates a fixed connection point for the hose system.
The short intake hose connects to the Dust Stopper inlet port inside the container, while the 3 m long hose connects firmly to the outlet port. The Dust Stopper then fits into the adapter center opening and is held securely by the silicone sealing sleeve.
This helps keep the hose connection stable when you move the faucet away from the container. If you simply drop a loose long hose into the container, the hose may slip or be pulled out during use, causing interrupted water flow or forcing you to reinsert the hose.
21. Is it easy to install?
Yes. The setup is designed for outdoor use and does not require tools. Attach the adapter to a compatible container, connect the hose system, place the pump, and press the button to use water.
22. Is the pump rechargeable?
Yes. The Jugfellow pump included in the Dispenser Kit and Adaptive Kit is rechargeable and designed for convenient outdoor water dispensing.
23. Can I use it for hot water?
It is designed for normal outdoor water dispensing. Do not use it with boiling water or liquids that may damage the pump, hose, or adapter system.
24. Is it suitable for camping, RV travel, vanlife, overlanding, and tailgating?
Yes. It is designed for outdoor water access around camp kitchens, RV setups, vanlife storage areas, overlanding vehicles, tailgates, and outdoor wash stations.
25. What should I do if I am still not sure whether it fits?
Send us a clear photo of your container opening and, if needed, a photo of the bottom of your electric pump. We can help you check compatibility before you order.
